Federation of Automobile Association i.e. FADA has released the report of vehicles sold in March 2023. According to this, 21 lakh 27 thousand 177 vehicles were sold in the Indian auto market last month with a growth of 3.14% on annual basis. Whereas in March last year, 20 lakh 62 thousand 409 vehicles were sold. The highest growth of 17.13% has been seen in three-wheeler sales. Last month, a total of 1 lakh 5 thousand 222 vehicles were sold in the country. A year ago, 89,837 three-wheelers were sold. At the same time, a decline of 5.87% has been seen in the commercial segment on an annual basis. Apart from this, FADA has also released the report of vehicles sold in the financial year 2024 (FY24). 2 crore 45 lakh 30 thousand 334 vehicles were sold in FY24, which is 10.29% more than the previous financial year. 2 crore 22 lakh 41 thousand 361 vehicles were sold in FY23. Maruti Suzuki sold maximum 1.26 lakh cars. Talking about passenger vehicles, Maruti Suzuki sold maximum 1.26 lakh cars in March. Whereas, in the same month last year the company had sold 1.39 lakh cars. With this, the market share of Maruti Suzuki has decreased from 40.48% to 39.33% on an annual basis. Hero MotoCorp on top in two-wheeler sales: Hero MotoCorp has sold the maximum number of 4 lakh 51 thousand 464 vehicles in the two-wheeler category in March. A year ago, the company had sold 4 lakh 67 thousand 518 vehicles in the same month. With this, Hero MotoCorp’s market share has declined from 32.22% to 29.51% on an annual basis. At the same time, Honda is at second place in the two-wheeler category with sales of 3 lakh 55 thousand 326 vehicles. In March last year, the company had sold 3 lakh 24 thousand 762 two-wheelers. With this, Honda’s market share has increased from 22.38% to 23.23% on an annual basis.
