CA Exam 2024: Delhi High Court rejects the petition to postpone CA exam, exams will be held on the scheduled date only

Delhi HC Rejects CA Exam Postponement Plea: Delhi High Court has rejected the demand for postponement of ICAI CA May Exam 2024. Now CA Inter and Final examinations will be conducted by Chartered Accountants of India as per their scheduled time. There will be no change in the exam schedule. In this regard, 27 students had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court and demanded that

There is no such rule

While filing the petition, these students had given many arguments in which they had said that during the elections, various kinds of problems arise from transportation to other matters. Therefore the examination should not be conducted during this period. In response to this, the court has rejected all the arguments and said that there is no rule that examinations should not be conducted at the time of elections.

Court reprimanded

During the hearing, the court not only refused to change the dates but also reprimanded the petitioners’ lawyers for their arguments. His lawyer said that this is one of the most difficult examinations and the use of loud speakers etc. causes problems in studies. On this, the court said that if they are not able to study due to general elections, then there is no use of such candidates becoming CA.

If you are not ready then do not give the exam

The court also said that more than 4 lakh candidates will be affected by this decision and problems faced by some students cannot be used to create problems for all the other candidates. The bench also said that if you do not feel prepared to take the exam or are feeling any problem then do not give the exam. There will be no change in the schedule, it will be held on the scheduled date only.
