Here preparation is done for many competitive exams like JEE, NEET etc. Along with this, classes are also conducted for children from class 6 to 8. Belongs to a simple family of UP
Alakh Pandey was born in Prayagraj, UP in the year 1991. His childhood was full of struggles because there were financial problems in the family. To support the family, he started giving tuition to children younger than him from a young age.
He did not complete his studies but till date he has helped lakhs of students to achieve success. He took admission in engineering at HBTI Kanpur but left the degree midway.
How it all started
From taking private tuition to teaching physics for other institutions, Alakh Pandey’s journey was quite difficult. However, he did not give up and the tuition that he used to give out of compulsion, he later started enjoying it. In the year 2016, Alakh Pandey opened a YouTube channel named ‘Physics Wala’. He used to teach physics in it.
Popularity increased gradually
This channel became popular among students in no time. This channel which had 3800 subscribers in the year 2017, had gathered more than 68 lakh subscribers in the year 2022. Valuable content was available here for free which was liked very much by the students.
Currently, PW Classes has 80 channels and more than 36 million students take advantage of them. In the year 2020, during the Corona period, they launched a physics app which now has more than 2.1 million sign-ups.
Has received many awards
Amazon has made a series on Physics Wala founder Alakh Pand. Forbes magazine has also featured him on its cover page and a big media company has also given him the Under 40 Leaders Award. He now also runs offline classes in various cities under the name of Vidyapeeth. From going door-to-door on a bicycle to teach tuition to creating the country’s largest classroom network, Alakh has come a long way at a very young age.
