Shahrukh Khan did not want to do the film

According to IMDB trivia, the makers wanted to cast Amitabh Bachchan in this film. But Amitabh Bachchan could not do the film due to some reasons. He suggested the name of Jackie Shroff. Shahrukh Khan was ready to do this film only because of Amitabh Bachchan. In his absence, Shahrukh Khan also expressed his desire to leave the film. But Rakesh Roshan did not agree. After which Shahrukh Khan remained in the film.
