Fardeen Khan told the reason for staying away from the big screen for 12 years, this is how his life went after his father’s death

Fardeen Khan, who was missing from the big screen for 12 years, has made a strong comeback with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Before the Netflix show, Fardeen was last seen in the film Dulha Mil Gaya. In an exclusive conversation with NDTV, the actor told why he stayed away for such a long time. Fardeen told that after losing his father, he needed some personal time. Let us tell you what else the actor said.

Fardeen said, “After that I shot a film, but I needed some personal time. Natasha (Fardeen’s wife Natasha Madhwani) and I faced challenges in having children. So (we) needed some time to work on that. Of course, it was not planned to stay away for so long.” Let us tell you that Fardeen’s father, legendary actor-film producer Firoz Khan died in 2009 at the age of 69.

‘A lot has changed’

This is not the first time that Fardeen Khan has talked about his comeback. Talking to ANI ahead of the release of Heeramandi, Fardeen had said, “I am very excited, but at the same time very nervous. A lot has changed in these 12 years… The standard of films has changed. The way people watch cinema has changed… Today, there is a completely new generation, so I feel new. I consider myself lucky that I got a chance to work with good people with this Heeramandi show. Fardeen told, ‘This year two more of my films will be released… I am thankful to the audience that they trusted me.’ Let us tell you that this first OTT project of Sanjay Leela Bhansali stars Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Manisha Koirala, Sharmin Sehgal and Richa Chadha in the lead roles.
