Actress Deepika Singh, who made a place in the hearts of fans by playing the character of Sandhya Bindani in Star Plus’ TV serial ‘Diya Aur Baati’, is currently seen in the serial ‘Mangal Lakshmi’. She made a comeback on the small screen with this show. But she was already very active on social media and used to share new videos and pictures for fans. Now while her acting is being appreciated, she is also being trolled due to her dance videos and expressions. Meanwhile, Deepika Singh has said in an interview to IANS that trolling has not affected her.
The actress said, “Trolling does not affect me. I accept it very gracefully, because I have people like my parents, husband and my Odissi dance teachers around me. By being with them, I have learned to accept every situation in life. They have taught me that no matter how successful you become, you cannot escape it.”
Deepika Singh has been learning Odissi dance for 10 years. On this she said, “Not everyone can accept you. Only those who think like you will be able to accept you. Only people like me will understand me. Some people like me but do not appreciate me. But I know what I am doing. I like to think about myself, not about what others think. I work for myself and my happiness, whether it is my Instagram page or my acting.”
The actress said, “This is my life and God has chosen me for this, so I am not answerable to anyone. That is why trolling and criticism do not affect me. When you get success and you are moving upwards, you have to face resistance, because there is a force that will try to bring you down.”
Deepika, who views trolling in a positive way, said, “When I get trolled for no reason, I realize that I am doing good work, that is why people are trying to bring me down. Then I come back with even more strength and do even better than before. I consider myself lucky that I have critics. There are some people who are not even visible. At least, people are seeing me who are criticizing me, which means that I am doing something good. So I am happy.”
