If something like this happened to a National Award winning film director, it was even more dramatic than his films. Some time back, the house of National Award winning director M Manikandan was burgled and goods worth lakhs went missing. But at the beginning of this week something happened to him which he could not believe. Those thieves understood his hard work and dedication and returned his award.

Return the awards after coming home

According to a PTI news, some cash, gold and awards were stolen from the house of film director M Manikandan. But perhaps the thieves’ hearts melted and they returned him his National Award. According to the local police, thieves returned his awards and medals to Manikandan’s house in Usilampatti, Madurai (Tamil Nadu) last Monday night. He kept these things in a polythene bag and disappeared. This time also no one could see these thieves.

The special thing is that there was a note in the bag returned by the thieves. It was written in the note, Sir, please forgive us, your hard work is yours. In 2014, Manikandan received the National Award for ‘Best Children’s Film’ for his original Tamil film ‘Kaaka Muttai’. After this, in 2022, his film ‘Kadaisi Vivasayi’ (The Last Farmer) received the National Award for Best Tamil Film.
