After India’s two largest telecom operators Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, Vodafone-Idea (VI) also announced a hike in mobile tariffs by about 20% on Friday, June 28. The company has given this information in the exchange filing. VI’s cheapest plan of Rs 179 will now be available for Rs 199. It offers 28 days validity, unlimited calling and 2GB data. At the same time, the plan of Rs 269 will be available for Rs 299. It offers unlimited calling and 2GB data daily with 28 days validity. The new rates will be effective from July 4. At the same time, Jio announced plans with new rates yesterday i.e. on June 27 and Airtel on the morning of June 28. The updated plans of both these companies will be effective from July 3.
