On what basis will you get the benefit
This scheme is for the economically weaker section i.e. EWS category. They will get the benefit according to their family income. While some people’s fees will be completely waived off, others will get some exemption. For this, students of both postgraduate and undergraduate classes can apply.
Who gets how much discount
Candidates whose family income is up to Rs 4 lakh will have their entire fees waived. Whereas those whose family income is between Rs 4 to 8 lakh, 50 percent fee will be waived. Everything is included in this fee waiver, only examination fee and hostel fee are not covered under it.
They will not get benefit
Also know that candidates of some programs like B.Tech, five-year LLB will not get the benefit of this fee waiver. This is because they are already given a lot of relaxation at the time of admission.
The candidate will have to attach all the necessary documents for the application. Income proof will have to be shown so that the benefit of the scheme can be given on its basis.
