Former air hostess and Kajol’s co-star in The Trial, Noor Malvika Das, has passed away. According to reports, the 31-year-old actress allegedly committed suicide. On June 6, the police recovered the body from a flat in Lokhandwala. According to the police, the incident came to light when the neighbours reported a foul smell coming from the flat, after which they informed the Oshiwara police. After breaking the door and entering the flat, the police found Noor’s body hanging from the ceiling fan. During the search of the house, the police recovered medicines, her mobile phone and diary.
After the Panchnama, the body was taken to Georgian Siddhartha Hospital for postmortem. Despite contacting the family, no one came to collect the body. Due to this, the police cremated the actress on Sunday with the help of Mamdani Health and Education Trust NGO, which handles the work of cremating unclaimed bodies in the city.
