ZEE5 today announced the world digital premiere of the much-awaited comedy drama ‘Khichdi 2: Mission Panthukistan’. Khichdi 2 is the sequel to the popular ‘Khichdi: The Movie’ (2010). The film is going to premiere on ZEE5 on 9th February. Khichdi 2 stars Supriya Pathak, Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai, Vandana Pathak, Jamnadas Majethia, Kirti Kulhari, Anant Vidhat Sharma, Reyansh Veer Chaddha and Flora Saini in lead roles. Along with this, there is also a cameo of Farah Khan and Prateek Gandhi.
In the next episode, the Parekh family sets out on an adventurous task to save the world. In this, Prafulla is in a double role who serves as the emperor of an imaginary country Panthukistan. Absurdity, fun and silliness return to the screen as the Parekh family traverses cities, beaches, snow-covered mountains, deserts and caves.
Khichdi first premiered as a TV series on Star Plus in 2002 under the banner of Hats Off Productions of Jamnadas Majethia and Aatish Kapadia. The second season titled Instant Khichdi started in 2004 on Star One. A film was made on this show in 2010. Now after more than 13 years, the makers are back with ‘Khichdi 2’.
