Meet Daler Mehndi’s son, he calls himself the Prince of Pop, released a new Punjabi song with a touch of South

Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi’s son Gurdeep Mehndi is very fond of travelling. Apart from being a singer, he is also a songwriter and actor. Talking exclusively to IANS, he explained how he takes out time to pursue his work and hobbies. The singer told IANS, “I have seen my father travel a lot for shows. The best thing about travelling is that you get to know about various cultures, people, food and traditions. It is not necessary that you travel only if you are rich. A solo budget trip can be as enjoyable as a luxury trip.”

Gurdeep also talked about his latest song ‘Inippu’ and said that he and his team wanted to create something different. The singer said, “The idea behind this track came from the two-state cultures. Earlier, no one had ever imagined a Sardar boy wearing a South Indian outfit and talking to a South Indian girl. ‘Inippu’ is a Tamil word which means very sweet”.

He said, “The track has a raw format of instrumentation. We have deliberately kept Punjabi tuning away. There is just a little touch of South in the song.” ‘Inippu’ has been released under the label of Saregama. Let us tell you that Gurdeep’s song ‘Saheli’ was released in 2014 and became a hit among the people. He has performed in many shows in India and abroad. He made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with Saeed Noor’s film ‘Meri Shadi Karao’. He was in the lead role as a Sardar in this film. Radhika Vaidya was the lead actress with him in the film.
