Senior actor Mithun Chakraborty, who was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata on Saturday (February 10) after complaining of severe chest pain, was discharged from the hospital. According to the latest update of news agency PTI, Mithun was discharged on Monday (February 12) afternoon. Mithun also stressed that he is “absolutely fine” and will resume shooting for his upcoming films. Mithun Chakraborty said, “Actually there is no problem, I am absolutely fine. I have to control my eating habits. Let’s see. I can start working soon, maybe from tomorrow itself.”

Mithun revealed that he had received a call from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (February 11) who “scolded him for not taking care of his health”. Let us tell you that before discharging Mithun da, the hospital had shared in an official statement that Mithun has been diagnosed with ischemic cerebrovascular accident stroke of the brain. Many senior doctors and experts have reviewed Mithun’s health and his condition. A senior official of the health facility said that they also conducted many other tests including MRI.

How did your health deteriorate?

The official statement said, “National Award winner Shri Mithun Chakraborty (73) was brought to the Emergency Department of Apollo Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata at 9.40 am complaining of weakness in the right upper and lower limbs. Necessary tests and brain tests were conducted. Radiology tests including MRI were done. He has been diagnosed with ischemic cerebrovascular accident (stroke) of the brain. Presently he is fully conscious, doing well and taking a light diet. Now Neuro-Physician, Cardiologist and Gastroenterologist A team of doctors including Mithun da will review his health.”

In its last update, the hospital said, “He is recovering well, is fully conscious, healthy, active and has taken a light diet. Some tests were also conducted before his discharge.”
