Fashion designer Nimisha Singh, who came from the small town of Rugram to reach the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, has created a new history. Nimisha Singh, who is the CEO and founder of ‘Label Nimisha’, made her presence felt on the red carpet at the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival on 19 May 2024. On this occasion, she wore her own designed outfit ‘Label Nimisha’, which was inspired by the peacock and was representing India.
Nimisha Singh, who is also a costume stylist, has been honoured by the British Parliament. She became the first Indian designer to walk the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival. Her unique and glamorous appearance on the red carpet caught everyone’s attention. The festival was attended by directors and film actresses from all over the world and it was like a dream come true for Nimisha.

Nimisha said on this occasion, “I had only seen big stars on the red carpet and never even dreamed that I would ever be able to go to Cannes myself. All this is due to my parents, God and my special one. My parents are my pillar of strength”.

It was not easy for Nimisha to reach here. She is a completely self-made girl and has achieved this position on the basis of her hard work. She used to work overtime in her studio to create something unique and grand. A big change came in her life when she was honored as the youngest Indian business woman in the British Parliament in 2023.
