Rajkummar Rao is ready for the film ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ coming under the banner of Karan Johar. The actor recently sat down with Karan and his co-star Janhvi Kapoor for a fun conversation about their film and acting journey. During the conversation, Rajkumar told Karan about losing films to star kids. Speaking about the insider-outsider debate, Karan said, “Sometimes they are using it as a toll to make headlines. Even successful people are saying that I was an outsider and I did not get the job because of being a star kid. Someone was saying that if I did not attend the party, I did not get the role. I don’t know in which party films are offered.

Responding to Karan’s statement, Rajkumar Rao said, when I came to Mumbai, I was told that you will have to attend parties and make contacts. There is no problem in attending a party, but going there and saying that I have come here to make contacts becomes a bit strange. I was cast in a film. Suddenly he was thrown out overnight. It came to light that my role has been given to someone I know who is also a star kid. The only thing that came to my mind was that this is not right.
