Mamik Singh played the role of Aamir Khan’s elder brother Ratan in the movie Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. After this film he got offers for many films. Mamik Singh liked some offers and worked in films and some did not meet his criteria, which Mamik Singh also rejected. But in other films, Mamik Singh could not create the same attraction as he could in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. He did not get the kind of offers he needed and he himself failed in the rest. After this he entered the world of TV. Here he achieved the success for which he yearned.
Mamik Singh himself has told in an interview that drug addiction caused him a lot of harm. He was trapped in some company which kept pushing him towards addiction. But at such a time, his family and friends supported him a lot due to which he was able to come out of the web of drug addiction. After the year 2000, he did not get any film for about ten years. But in 2010 he was again seen in the film Mallika. However, in the meanwhile he remained active in the world of TV.
