According to the data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), ₹ 20,371.47 crore has been invested in mutual funds through SIP in the month of April. In the same month last year, ₹13,728 crore was invested through SIP, which is 48.39% more on an annual basis. Whereas, earlier in the month of March, this figure was ₹ 19,270.96 crore, which has increased by 5.71% on monthly basis (MoM). Mutual fund AUM ₹57.26 lakh crore The contribution of SIP in mutual fund investment in September 2022 was ₹10,000 crore, which has doubled in about one and a half years. Due to this surge in SIP investments, the total asset under management (AUM) of mutual funds stood at ₹57.26 lakh crore in April 2024, which was ₹53.40 lakh crore in March 2024. Net inflow in open ended equity funds decreased by 16%. According to AMFI data, there was a decline of about 16% in open ended equity fund net inflow in April, investment of Rs 18,917 crore came in this month. Whereas a month ago in March 2024, Rs 22,633 crore was invested in open ended equity funds. Apart from this, ₹ 357.56 crore in large cap funds, ₹ 2,723.87 crore in multicap funds, ₹ 2,638.91 crore in large and midcap, ₹ 2,208.70 crore in small cap funds, ₹ 2,172.93 crore in flexi cap funds, ₹ 1,986.73 crore in contra funds, midcap There was an inflow of ₹1,793.07 crore and ₹341.35 crore in dividend yield funds. The number of mutual fund folios reached an all-time high. The number of mutual fund SIP accounts reached 8.70 crore in April 2024, which was 8.39 crore in March 2024.
