Tata Motors has launched the Altroz Racer in the Indian market today. This is India’s first car in the premium hatchback segment, which has a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, ventilated seats and voice assistance electric sunroof. Apart from this, the car has a powerful 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine and its exterior, features and safety have also been upgraded. This is a sporty version of the regular Altroz, which has been introduced in three variants – R1, R2 and R3 and its starting price is Rs 9.49 lakh (introductory ex-showroom pan-India). Tata Altroz Racer will compete directly with Hyundai i20 N Line. Altroz Racer Exterior Design Altroz Racer has been given more styling elements than the regular Altroz to give it a sporty feel. These updates include a new grille and dual-tip exhaust. Apart from this, it has a dual white strip from the hood to the end of the roof. The car comes with dual tone exterior color options. This includes atomic orange, avenue white and pure gray color. Its roof, bonnet, wing mirror, window line, spoiler and all three pillars A, B, C have been given black treatment. Altroz Racer has 16-inch dual tone alloy wheels with black inserts. Interior design of Altroz Racer The racer’s cabin has a sporty interior design, which has a black dashboard layout with exterior color colored accents and contrast stitching on the seat upholstery. Apart from this, there is also ambient lighting in exterior color. Tata Altroz Racer: Performance The standard Altroz has a 1.2-liter Revotron turbo-petrol engine with 110hp power. The Racer will get the 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine of Nexon, which is a more powerful engine with 10hp power and 30Nm torque. Compared to the regular Altroz, the sporty version will be offered with a new 6-speed manual gearbox, apart from this, the choice of 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission can also be given in it.
