Mukhtar Ansari Education: Mukhtar Ansari is identified as a notorious criminal. The world will know him by the names Don, Mafia and other such names, but the history of Mukhtar’s family has been glorious. He himself was not less educated and had entered the world of politics through student politics. Started his career with student politics and then completely made a place in this field. Recently he died in Banda jail.

Five time MLA

Many cases are registered against Mukhtar Ansari and he is infamous as the Don of Purvanchal. He won the elections not just once or twice but five times and became MLA. Talking about his family history, he belonged to a family from where people held various posts like Vice President, Brigadier, Governor, Judge etc. For this reason, even today his family is respected in Ghazipur district.

How much had Mukhtar read

Mukhtar was born in Ghazipur, UP and received his early education from here. He was the youngest in his family and completed his schooling from Government Inter College, Muhammadabad. He did further studies from the PG college here only. Mukhtar had done Bachelor in Arts i.e. BA. After this he took post graduation degree from Rambagh College.

How did political career start

Mukhtar, the youngest son of the family, entered politics through student politics. He started politics from Kashi Hindu University i.e. BHU and got the ticket from BSP for the first time in the year 1996. Contested elections from Mau and became MLA.

Family History

His family gave him Vice President in the form of Mohammad Hamid Ansari. Shaukat Ullah Ansari of his own family was the governor. Asif Ansari from his own family was a judge in Allahabad High Court. His elder brother Afzal Ansari was MLA five times and MP twice. His grandfather was among those who participated in the freedom struggle.
