After the attack on foreigners in Kyrgyzstan’s capital Bishkek, the Indian Embassy has issued a statement. The Embassy has said that no untoward incident has taken place in Bishkek in the last few days. Around 17 thousand Indian students are studying in Kyrgyzstan. How much is the fee?

Like Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan is also a popular choice for Indian students to study MBBS. This country is located in Central Asia. The reason for its popularity among Indians is the low cost of MBBS. According to reports, the fees of MBBS in India range from Rs 75 lakh to Rs 1 crore. Whereas in many other countries, MBBS is taught at a cheaper rate than India. The fee of MBBS in Kyrgyzstan is around Rs 40 lakh. Which is much less than India. Apart from this, students with low NEET marks also get admission.

Osh State University, Jalal-Abad State University, International School of Medicine, Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University etc. located in Kyrgyzstan are very popular among students for medical courses. But in the last few days, there have been attacks on foreigners in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. After which the students living there and their parents are worried. But the Indian Embassy has said that no untoward incident has taken place in the past days.  

Ambassador visited the institutions

The Indian Ambassador visited various universities for Indian students and understood their concerns. On 18 May, the Ambassador visited Jalal-Abad State University and on 22 May he visited the International Higher Medical School in Bishkek. Embassy officials also visited the International Medical University and the Eurasian Medical University. They spoke to the students and addressed their concerns. Classes are being conducted online as a precautionary measure.
