During a recent interview, Boney Kapoor told that when they started dating, his mother had asked Sridevi to tie Rakhi to her. At that time Boney was already married to Mona Shourie Kapoor and was the father of two children Arjun Kapoor and Anshula. Boney Kapoor married Sridevi in 1996. He recalled that his mother had asked Sridevi to tie Rakhi to her on Raksha Bandhan. Speaking to Zoom TV, Boney Kapoor said, “My mother could see (my feelings for Sridevi). On Raksha Bandhan, she gave a rakhi thali (puja plate) to Sridevi and asked me to tie the rakhi. Sridevi She came straight into the room and I told her, ‘Don’t worry, don’t get upset, keep this plate here.’ He didn’t understand what Rakhi meant.”
Boney Kapoor said, “I had love for Sridevi. Till I was sure about our relationship whether we were together or not, I tried to impress her for about five to six years and made her believe that she was for me.”
Let us tell you that when Boney started dating Sridevi, he was married to Mona Kapoor. Talking about the same, Boney said, “I was very honest with my wife, Arjun’s mother, Mona. She knew very well what my feelings were for Sridevi. In fact, long before our marriage. Only Sridevi lived in the house. There were many such things regarding her which I went one step ahead. Mona could see all this and I never denied it.
Boney Kapoor is alone today
Boney Kapoor’s first wife Mona Kapoor died of cancer on 25 March 2012 in Hyderabad. Boney lost his second wife Sridevi in February 2018.
