America’s famous company Time Magazine has released the list of the world’s most influential companies today (30 May). Three Indian companies have been given a place in this annual list of 2024. It includes Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Tata Group and Adar Poonawala’s Serum Institute of India (SII). This is the fourth edition of the Time list of the world’s 100 most influential companies. Its full list will be published in the June 10, 2024 issue of Time. Companies divided into five categories This list of Time is divided into five categories. It includes Leaders, Disruptors, Innovators, Titans and Pioneers categories. 20 companies have been included in each category. Reliance and Tata Group have got a place in the Titans category, while Serum Institute of India has been selected for the Pioneers category. Jio was included in the list in 2021 This is the second time that Time has given a place to Mukesh Ambani’s company in its list. Earlier in 2021, Jio Platform was included in the list of Time’s top 100 most influential companies. At the same time, this time Time magazine has also given Reliance the title of ‘India’s Juggernaut’. It was written about Reliance in the magazine that Reliance, which started as a textile and polyester company, is today a big business group. It is also the most valuable company in the country with a market capitalization of over $ 200 billion. The company has many businesses including energy, retail and telecom. Time magazine has also mentioned the Reliance and Disney deal. The magazine says that this $ 8.5 billion deal will strengthen Reliance’s hold on India’s fast-growing streaming market. Reliance’s profit crosses ₹ 1 lakh crore Reliance Industries’ profit before tax has crossed Rs 1 lakh crore. Reliance is the first Indian company to do so. Apart from this, the company has recorded a record annual income of Rs 10 lakh crore in FY 2024 (April 2023-March 2024). Reliance has announced the results for the fourth quarter (January-March) of FY 2023-24 on 22 April. The company’s board has also approved a dividend of Rs 10 per share. Companies give a part of the profit to their shareholders, it is called dividend. Apart from Reliance Industries, the second company to be included in the Tata Group list, Tata Group from India has also been given a place in Time’s list. About this, Time said that Tata Group is one of the oldest companies in India. Its vast portfolio extends from steel, software, watches and chemicals to salt, grains and air-conditioners. In 2023, it became the first Indian company to assemble iPhones. In February 2024, Tata’s joint market capitalization has reached $365 billion. Serum Institute makes 3.5 billion vaccines every year Time magazine has included Serum Institute of India as the world’s largest vaccine manufacturing company.
