Today, i.e. Friday, April 19, the stock market is witnessing a decline for the fifth consecutive day. Sensex is trading at the level of 72,153 with a fall of 335 points. At the same time, Nifty is also seeing a fall of more than 128 points. It is trading at the level of 21,867. In today’s trading, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 24 are showing decline and 6 are seeing rise. Decline in all sectors of NSE. Decline is being seen in all sectoral indices of NSE. The biggest decline is in Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty IT, Nifty Media, Nifty Auto and Nifty Realty. Nifty PSU Banks are down 1.72%, Nifty IT is down 1.40% and Nifty Media is down 1.24%. 3 reasons for the decline in the market: There was a decline in the stock market yesterday too. The stock market witnessed a decline for the fourth consecutive day yesterday i.e. on Thursday, 18th April. Sensex closed at 72,488 with a fall of 454 points. At the same time, Nifty also fell by 152 points. It closed at the level of 21,995. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 23 rose and 7 declined. Bharti Airtel was the top gainer. It increased by 3.97% and closed at Rs 1265. Whereas Nestle had the biggest decline of 3.05%. It closed at Rs 2469. Second day of investment in Vodafone Idea’s FPO. The follow-on public offer i.e. FPO of telecom company Vodafone Idea (VI) is open from tomorrow. The company wants to raise ₹18,000 crore through this issue.
